Hey everyone! Sorry I have not posted in a while! I have been incredibly busy with graduating, working three jobs and moving into a new apartment and now my father is in the hospital. Just been an absolutely crazy time of year! I hope everyone else has been doing well.

To be honest with you I don’t remember much about this book. But I can tell you that I didn’t really enjoy it and I probably wouldn’t recommend it.

Balzac and The Little Chinese Seamstress is a short novel by Dai Sijie that covers the life of a boy who gets sent off to a Re-Education camp that was instilled upon by the Chinese government. The purpose of re-education is to make the country more industrial rather than book smart.

Like always a girl, the little Chinese seamstress comes into it and two boys fall for her and what not. I just felt like it was really hokey and that it could’ve been written better.

That’s all I have for this one. Sorry not one of my better reports, it’s been two long (finished it in May), Just wanted to give you this quick one so you didn’t think I died or something.

I would rate this book a 2 out of 5 for a low developed story line and a cheesy premise.

I will try and get my next book review up as soon as possible. Thank you for reading. If you have any suggestions, comments, or concerns for me, let me know, or just simply want to talk to me. I will do book requests. You can send me a message to me on here or E-Mail me at: TeamBellisle@yahoo.com
